Every year, Network Ireland Kildare branch selects a charity to be the nominated branch charity and to benefit from our Annual Charity Lunch in November.
The selection of the charity and the organisation and running of the charity luncheon are undertaken in a strictly professional and ethical manner by the branch, the committee and the charity sub-committee, with 100% focus on raising as much as possible (in financial and awareness terms) for the chosen charity.
In the interests of transparency and in order for members to be aware of how the charity is chosen, the current process applies:
All branch members are welcome to submit a charity for consideration.
Submissions are via application form (download here) which must be submitted by the branch member, via email, to the branch President annually, before the closing date in that year (which is announced separately).
A representative of each nominated charity will then be invited to attend a committee meeting, at a specified date, to present their pitch. Votes will be cast by committee members present, by secret ballot and the winner will be announced by the President as the chosen charity for that year.
The branch member who has nominated the charity will be expected to join the organising sub-committee and to work as the liaison between the branch and the charity, working to promote the charity luncheon, to sell tickets / tables, to secure sponsorship, spot prizes, etc.
We were delighted to announce that our chosen charity for 2018 is Tiglin.
