This event is our biggest event of the year and is a fantastic networking opportunity. There will be a three course lunch served on the day. Each applicant will be given recognition for their efforts and the winners announced on the day. All proceeds going on the day to our chosen charity partner Aoibheanns Pink Tie. This is truly an event not to be missed!!
Our MC for the event is Ruth Scott:
Ruth Scott is a name synonymous with broadcasting in Ireland. She spent almost 20 years in RTE as a radio presenter on 2fm. She is a regular panellist on the RTE "Today Show", "Midday" & "Elaine" on TV3. She has written for print and online media and is an avid social media user and influencer. Ruth has been invited to MC and chair panel-discussions at many events. These are some that she has worked on recently: Womens Inspire Network, Websummit, Momentum Summit, Future Health Summit, as well as events for Centra (Musgraves) and advertising agency Rothco. She has recently been asked to develop social media strategy and presence for a prestigious one-off American event being hosted in Dublin this year.
This is Ruth's second time to host a Network Dublin event.
Our keynote speakers are:
PEACHES KEMP - co-founded Itsa with her sister Domini in 1999. Having started with one bagel shop 18 years ago, the Kemps now have 15 outlets incorporating several brands: Itsa Bagel, Itsa Cafés, Joe’s Coffee, Feast Catering, Table Restaurant, Hatch & Sons and Alchemy Juice Co. Itsa is director owned and run and employs over 120 people. Peaches is a qualified chef, has a post graduate degree in PR, and holds an advanced degree in wine from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (UK). She won Image Businesswoman of the Year in 2009 and was a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the year programme in 2011. She is on the EY EOY Alumni Board and is a board member of Inner City Enterprise, a not for profit private charity that helps the long term unemployed start their own businesses.
ROISIN DUFFY - a News Editor with RTE in Dublin . She’s been in Broadcasting as a presenter , reporter producer and IFTA nominated documentary maker with the BBC and RTE .She knows broadcasting from many angles ..She is also a linguist and a former academic .She is passionate about getting more strong intelligent women’s voices on the airwaves , its her belief that such discussions feed into the national debate and form the first stage in the making of public policy . She has been instrumental in setting up Women On Air’s new media training programme which has facilitated an increasing number of significant female voices on the national and local airwaves .
MELISSA CURRY - an Irish jewelry designer. She is known for her bold colourful designs and blending of diverse influences such as world events as well as personal and cultural history. Her designs reflect a variety of moods, from the ancient power of China, to the romance of film, and the mystic of Celtic mythology and tribalism. Her Smarties Collection is her interpretation of the need for hope and endurance, designed during the Obama Presidential Campaign and presented to Michelle Obama during her state visit in Ireland last year.
