Maria Groarke
Network Ireland President.
As President of Network Ireland in 2008 a year in which it celebrates its 25th Anniversary (1983 – 2008) it gives me a wonderful sense of honour and a great sense of achievement to have been elected in a celebratory year.

This is a very special year in the history of the organisation which provides a forum where women in business, the professions and the arts can exchange ideas and increase their business contacts.

To have reached this milestone is in itself a testament to the organisation that is expanding in membership and constantly more branches being formed.

In my year my dream is to maintain this culture and to foster unity within our current branches and to offer a hand of friendship to new members affiliating themselves to our organisation.

I want to maintain and continue the dream of business women who in 1983 founded this organisation, and through their dreams and foresight we have reached this 25th anniversary.

I am encompassing this idea for the 2008 National Conference under the theme “ Hold that Dream”.
I promise to be available to all members to listen, to help or advise, whenever possible.

I will continue with the lobbying of government bodies that we put in place in 2007, and to establish contact with women’s agencies in England and the U.S.A.

I am looking forward to being 2008 National President and to hosting a very special National Conference on the 3rd October 2008.

With Best Regards,
Maria Croake
