Inspirational & Enterprising Women of Kildare
Celebrate International Women’s Day
with Network Ireland Kildare Branch,
Friday 3rd March 2017, Newbridge Silverware
Network Ireland Kildare Branch celebrated International Women’s day at Newbridge Silverware Restaurant on Friday last, the 3rd of March. Network Ireland Kildare Branch celebrated the occasion at the award winning Silver Restaurant, Newbridge Silverware, with record numbers of members and guests in attendance. Thousands of events occur globally to celebrate the economic, political and social achievements of women and campaign for gender equality.
Pauline Forde, Network Ireland Kildare President, commented: “The night was a huge success as we celebrated women and women’s rights around the world. Network Ireland Kildare Branch is fortunate to have so many enterprising women in our community, and our event was about shining a light on the inspirational women of Kildare and helping women connect with each other”.
The night ended on a high as Network Ireland Kildare Branch presented a cheque to Arthritis Ireland for €13,000 from their Annual Charity Luncheon held in November of last year. The Annual Charity Luncheon raised vital funds for Arthritis Ireland’s Youth & Family Services.
Edel Mc Cabe, Senior Communications Manager with Arthritis Ireland and Network Ireland Kildare Member, said: ““Arthritis is often seen as an “old person’s disease” with “a few aches and pains”. However, it is a serious chronic disease impacting on children and young people in Ireland; childhood arthritis needs to be given the respect and resources it deserves. We are delighted that Network Ireland Kildare Branch chose us as their charity partner last year; to raise a staggering €13,000 from one event is a testament to the generosity and commitment of the Network. Their support and the funds we have raised will allow us to continue our children and youth services both in Kildare and nationally.”
The Network Ireland Kildare Branch event was hosted by Network Ireland Kildare Branch in association with our supporters, Kildare Local Enterprise Office, AIB Bank and our media partners, Kildare Post.
